Well hello,

Welcome to The Art Buffet. Here you will find a delectable assortment of art spanning many genres.

I grew up and spent most of my life in the suburbs of Philadelphia but I now reside on the beautiful eastern shore of Maryland with my wonderful husband and dog Pippin. We have raised four lovely daughters and are now enjoying the spoils of grandchildren.  

Over 20 years ago my oldest daughter wanted to do a craft for her 10^th birthday. My sister told me about this stuff called Polymer Clay. I bought some and all the girls made beads and shared them as friendship necklaces. That night after the kiddies went to bed I started playing with the clay. I was completely hooked. One thing led to another and beading became my passion. For me, beading is a discipline and meditation.  Each bead must be meticulously selected and placed to cultuvate a magical piece of art I know others will cherish as much as I do. When I’m not beading I enjoy painting and mixed media. I am drawn to  the freedom of filling an empty canvas with paper, paint, paste and fiber. Making a mess is so much fun!  I love reclaiming old wooden boxes and and filling them with all sorts of little treasures. This is where I can really let my imagination soar.  I’m most inspired by the vibrant colors and textures found in nature.

When I’m not creating art you can find me reading a good fantasy novel or watching an old movie. I also enjoy walking the dog to the river near my home. We like to watch the eagles, fish, and the sail boats as they go by.  

My work is currently in several galleries in the Eastern Shore region including the Rehoboth Art and Chestertown River Arts Center. 

I’ve been published in Somerset Studio Magazine and Artful Ways with Polymer Clay by Dotty McMillan both hard cover books and magazines.
